Organizations, Appointments and Hearings. 1.1. The physicians and appropriate other persons granted practice privileges in the Hospital shall be organized and operate as an open medical and dental staff under Medical Staff bylaws approved by the Board of Managers. The Board of Managers shall consider recommendations of the Medical Staff and appoint to the Medical Staff, in numbers not exceeding the Hospital’s needs, physicians and others who meet the qualifications for membership as set forth in the bylaws of the Medical Staff. Each member of the Medical Staff shall have appropriate authority and responsibility for the care of his or her patients, subject to such limitations as are contained in this Agreement and in the bylaws, rules and regulations of the Medical Staff and subject further to any limitations attached to his or her appointment. The Chief Executive Officer of the Company, subject to approval by the Board, shall appoint the Chief Medical Director.

  • APPOINTMENTS AND PROMOTIONS 17.1 Appointments and promotions shall be based on merit and fitness to be ascertained so far as practicable by competitive examinations. Examinations shall be used and conducted to aid in the selection of qualified employees, and shall consist of recognized selection techniques which will, in the opinion of ANAHEIM, test fairly the qualifications of candidates.

  • Faculty Appointments 5.4.1 On successful completion of the probationary period (unless 6.4 applies), a faculty employee shall be offered a faculty appointment. A faculty appointment means that the appointment shall be continued unless there are exceptional circumstances as specified in 8.4.1 or 6.4.

  • Missed Appointments From time to time it may be necessary for Landlord and Landlord’s authorized agents including, but not limited to, property management personnel, maintenance contractors, appraisers, and real estate agents to gain access to the Property for the purpose of inspecting the Property or performing repairs and Tenant does hereby grant permission to Landlord and Landlord’s authorized agents to enter the Property for these purposes. If Tenant fails to keep a pre-arranged, mutually agreed to appointment allowing access to the property then Tenant agrees to pay Eighty Five and No/100s Dollars ($85.00) per event as liquidated damages to Landlord and such amount shall become due as additional rent under this agreement.

  • Types of Appointments a. Regular Appointments for positions scheduled to work twelve (12) months per year.

  • Medical Appointments Medical appointments may be charged to sick leave, provided the minimum time charged is not less than one-half (1/2) hour. Each absence shall be reported separately and authorized in advance by the employee's immediate supervisor.

  • Committee Appointments Members of the transfer screening committee and transfer interview committee shall be taken from the general hiring committee. The hiring committee will determine the appointments to the transfer screening and interview committees under conditions in Sections 5.3.2.1 and 5.3.2.2.

  • Continuing Appointments A Continuing appointment signifies the right of a Member to continuous employment that may be terminated only through the mechanisms provided in Article 8.

  • Medical/Dental Appointments ‌ Where medical and/or dental appointments cannot be scheduled outside the employee's working hours, sick leave with pay shall be granted.
