Common use of Other Leaves of Absence With Pay Clause in Contracts

Other Leaves of Absence With Pay. An employee holding a position in the County shall be granted a leave of absence with pay for: a. Service with a jury; b. Appearance before a court, legislative committee or judicial or quasi-judicial body as a witness in connection with official County business in response to a subpoena. An employee holding a position in County service who appears before a court as a witness in response to a subpoena or other direction by proper authority in connection with the employee(s) official assigned duties, or other authorized duties in connection with County business, shall be considered to be acting as an employee of Washington County and shall do so without loss of pay, benefits or legal protection.
