Common use of Out of Title Pay Clause in Contracts

Out of Title Pay. Non-instructional paraprofessionals who work out of title (i.e., in a higher classification, such as an instructional posi- tion) for five (5) consecutive days or more, shall be paid out of title pay at the rate of the higher classification for all days worked in the higher classification. Whenever any other employee under this Agreement is assigned to perform the duties and responsibilities of a higher classification, he shall be paid the higher rate for such services from the first working day. Time spent performing such duties and responsibilities shall accrue in one (1) month intervals, and shall be applied to future promotions of such employee to a permanent position in the same job for purpos- es of step or experience level compensation.
