Common use of Outside Posting Clause in Contracts

Outside Posting. The Sheriff’s Office may post notice of a job vacancy to the general public. Such notice shall be posted ten (10) working days before filling the job vacancy. In the event the ten (10) working days posting requirement imposes an unusual hardship upon the County, the County may reduce the posting period to five (5) working days. The County shall encourage the Sheriff’s Office to utilize the promotion or internal posting procedures prior to public recruitment whenever possible.
