Common use of Overnight Absence Clause in Contracts

Overnight Absence. An employee who is required to be away overnight is entitled to be paid an allowance for reasonable expenses for accommodation, meals and incidental costs whilst: (a) travelling on duty; (b) travelling to a new location to take up duty on promotion or transfer in Australia Post’s interests; (c) carrying out duties at another place by direction of an authorised manager/supervisor.
