Overtime Pay; Safety. If the Contract involves employment of mechanics or laborers and is for more than $100,000, then Contractor must comply with 40 USC §§ 3702 and 3704, as supplemented by 29 CFR Part 5. These requirements include but are not limited to: Paying each laborer or mechanic one and a half times the basic rate of pay for all hours that the laborer or mechanic works in excess of 40 hours in any one week; and Not requiring any mechanic or laborer to work in surroundings or under working conditions that are unsanitary, hazardous, or dangerous to health or safety.
