P ayment of Employee/Member Contribution. E ffective October 7, 2016, nNew member employees are responsible for paying the employee contribution of one- half of the normal cost of the plan, as defined by CalPERS, through a payroll deduction. This amount is currently determined by CalPERS and will continue to be determined by CalPERS in the future. The City has adopted the CalPERS resolution in accordance with IRS Code section 414(h)(2) to ensure that the employee contribution is made on a pre-tax basis.

P ayment of Employee/Member Contribution. Effective at the beginning of the pay p eriod following City Council adoption of this MOU, cClassic members shall pay their entire Member Contribution equal to nine percent (9%) of compensation earnable and the City shall pay and report zero percent (0%) of compensation earnable as Employer Paid Member Contribution (EPMC). Until City Council adoption of the MOU, the City will continue to pay and report eight percent (8%) of compensation earnable as an Employer Paid Member Contribution (EPMC) under Government Code section 20636(c)(4) pursuant to section 20691 and the employees shall continue to pay the remaining one percent (1%) of compensation earnable.   • Employer Contribution (a) An Employer contribution for health and dental benefits will only be made for each active employee who has at least eighty (80) paid regular hours in a month and who is eligible for medical insurance coverage, unless otherwise required by law. (b) It is understood that the administrative intent of this Article is that the Employer contribution is made for individuals who are participants in the medical insurance coverages. Participation will mean that eligible less-than-full-time employees who drop out of coverage will be considered to participate. Additionally, employees who elect to opt out of coverage for a cash incentive will be considered to participate.

  • Salary Benefits and Bonus Compensation 3.1 BASE SALARY. Effective July 1, 2000, as payment for the services to be rendered by the Employee as provided in Section 1 and subject to the terms and conditions of Section 2, the Employer agrees to pay to the Employee a "Base Salary" at the rate of $180,000 per annum, payable in equal bi-weekly installments.   • Retirement Contribution 1. The State shall, as permitted by 5 M.R.S.A. §17702 §§s5 and 6, pay its cost of the 6.5% or 7.5% retirement contribution for employees in the bargaining unit who are covered under special Law Enforcement retirement plans. 2.
