Common use of Paid Holidays – Full-Time Employees Only Clause in Contracts

Paid Holidays – Full-Time Employees Only. As per Article 20, Holiday pay will be computed on the basis of the employee's regular straight-time hourly rate of pay times the number of hours for a normal or standard extended workday as set out in Article 2.1 of this appendix. An employee required to work on any of the designated holidays listed in Article 20 (Paid Holidays) of this Collective Agreement shall be paid at the rate of time-and-one-half (1½) his regular straight-time rate of pay for all hours worked on such holiday. In addition, he will receive a lieu day-off with pay in the amount of his regular straight time hourly rate of pay times the normal or standard extended workday as set out in Article 2.1 of this appendix.

In addition, he will receive a lieu day-off with pay in the amount of his regular straight time hourly rate of pay times the normal or standard extended workday as set out in Article 2.1 27 .01 (c) of this appendix.
