Painting Requirements. All new and disturbed steel in the work scope above shall be coated per the following schedule: Surface Preparation: Clean all surfaces to be coated using SSPC-SP-10 abrasive blasting and / or SSPC-SP-2 (Hand Tool) and / or SSPC-SP-3 (Power Tool). Coating application shall commence immediately after this criteria has been met, but restricted to proper weather conditions/limitations such as steel temperature, wind, dew point, etc. Steel temperature shall always be 5 °F above dew point during application. Application: Primer – Apply one coat of Jotun Barrier AV Zinc Epoxy, or COR approved equivalent per the manufacturer’s instructions, at a rate of 5-6 mils wet, yielding 2-3 mils dry film thickness. Required salient characteristics of Jotun Barrier AV Zinc: Zinc rich epoxy primer coating suitable for carbon steel, repair of inorganic zinc silicate coating. Suitable for structural steel and piping exposed to highly corrosive environments and compliant with ISO 12944 C5I and/or C5M recommended for offshore environments and immersed service. Intermediate Coat - Apply one coat of Jotun Jotamastic 90 Red Epoxy, or COR approved equivalent per the manufacturer’s instructions, at a rate of 10-12 mils wet yielding 7-9 mils dry film thickness Stripe Coat – Apply one coat of Jotun Jotamastic 90 Gray Epoxy, or COR approved equivalent per the manufacturer’s instructions, at a rate of 10-12 mils wet yielding 7-9 mils dry film thickness. Top Coat – Apply one full coat of Jotun Jotamastic 90 Mahogany Epoxy, or COR approved equivalent per the manufacturer’s instructions, to coated areas at a rate of 10- 12 mils wet yielding 7-9 mils dry film thickness. Required salient characteristics of Jotun Jotamastic 90: Two component polyamine cured epoxy mastic coating suitable for carbon steel, repair of inorganic zinc silicate coating. Suitable for structural steel and piping exposed to highly corrosive environments and compliant with ISO 12944 C5I and/or C5M recommended for offshore environments and immersed service.

Painting Requirements. Painting requirements related to the renovation are described in Exhibit “A”. In addition, the Lessor is responsible for repainting at least once every ten (10) years or sooner if reasonably required, provided the sooner repaint is not required due to extraordinary wear and tear or other fault of Lessee. All surfaces which normally would be painted shall be finished with a minimum of two coats of interior latex paint on walls and suitable semi-gloss enamel on woodwork and bare metal. The Lessee reserves the right to select the colors for areas to be newly painted. Sec. 13 of the Lease is amended to read as follows:

If required by Education Code Section 45125.1, the Contractor must provide for the completion of a Fingerprint Certification form, in the District’s required format, prior to any of the Contractor's employees, or those of any other Contractors, coming into contact with the District's students. Contractor further acknowledges that other fingerprinting requirements may apply, as set forth in Education Code Section 45125 et seq., and will comply with any such requirements.
