Paper Stock. Inserts that are single cards are to be a minimum of 80 lb text weight and a maximum of 65 lb cover weight. Folded inserts are to be printed on 50 or 60 lb matt offset paper stock. Glossy finish or gloss coated paper inserts are not acceptable. 50 lb stock may be used only when folded. Recycled paper stock (carrying the recycled symbol on the printed piece) is preferable but not mandatory.

It is the Contractor’s responsibility to ensure that paper orders are processed in a timely fashion in order to meet the delivery deadline requirements of this Contract. Upon request, the Contractor shall provide a copy of their purchase order and the invoice received from the paper company supplying the required paper stock for this printing project. It is required that recycled paper meets or exceeds the standards and requirements mandated by state law in accordance with C.G.S § 4a-67f. The Contractor must be a Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) approved print provider. The Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining and placing the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) logo on each printed piece. SRO will decide on the position of the logo.
Paper Stock. All sheets shall be square and to size. OCR bond, 24 lb., MICR safety paper. Paper shall be compatible with Xerox 4635MX high-speed laser printer and Xxxxxx-Xxxxx Series 7 finishing equipment, including R205 heavy-duty folder-feeder. (Sheet will be C-folded.) Testing in OSC Xerox 4635 printer shall result in fewer than 0.5 paper-caused simplex jams per 5,000 sheets.
