Parental Leave for Birth and Adopting Parents. (a) Upon written request an employee shall be entitled to parental leave of up to thirty-seven (37) consecutive weeks without pay (or thirty-five (35) consecutive weeks in the case of a birth mother who takes maternity leave under Article 33.01).
