Part-Time Appointments: Limitations. This subsection shall be of application only to departments with six (6) or more full-time members. Except at the Massachusetts College of Art, not more than fifteen percent (15%) of an academic department’s total number of three (3) credit courses and sections shall be taught by part-time employees during an academic year.‌‌‌‌‌ At the Massachusetts College of Art, not more than twenty percent (20%) of the total number of three (3) credit courses taught in departments with six (6) or more full-time faculty shall be taught by part-time employees during an academic year. Not included in the foregoing are courses or sections taught by part-time employees hired to replace unit members on sabbatical leave of absence, on unpaid leave of absence, on reduced teaching loads for the purposes of alternative professional responsibilities or Association release time, or any other contractual released time, or any unforeseen emergency.

  • Faculty Appointments 5.4.1 On successful completion of the probationary period (unless 6.4 applies), a faculty employee shall be offered a faculty appointment. A faculty appointment means that the appointment shall be continued unless there are exceptional circumstances as specified in 8.4.1 or 6.4.

  • No Wait or Minimal Wait Appointments Reasonable effort shall be made to assure that Patient is seen by the Physician immediately upon arriving for a scheduled office visit or after only a minimal wait. If Physician foresees a minimal wait time, Patient shall be contacted and advised of the projected wait time.

  • Employee Called as a Witness The Employer will grant leave with pay:

  • Term Appointments 16.3.4.1 A Term appointment carries no implication of renewal or continuation beyond the contractually limited term. A person holding a Term appointment may apply for a Probationary or Continuing appointment if such a position is available.

  • Continuing Appointments A Continuing appointment signifies the right of a Member to continuous employment that may be terminated only through the mechanisms provided in Article 8.

  • SECTION 2 - APPOINTMENT 2.1 Employee is appointed as a technical officer currently assigned as the Executive Assistant effective August 4, 2020, on the terms and conditions set out in the Agreement.

  • Rate of Pay on Appointment from Layoff List When an individual is appointed from a layoff list to a position in the same class in which the person was previously employed, the person shall be paid at the same salary step at which such employee was being paid at the time of layoff.
