Common use of Part-Time Benefits Clause in Contracts

Part-Time Benefits. All Part Time employees shall be paid in lieu of benefits based on the following formula: Applicable straight time hourly rate + 12% It is understood that pension is included within the percentage in lieu of fringe benefits. Notwithstanding the foregoing, all part-time employees may, on a voluntary basis, enrol in OMERS when eligible in accordance with its terms and conditions. For part-time employees who are members of OMERS, the percentage in lieu of fringe benefits is nine percent (9%). Employees over the age of 65 shall be excluded from Articles 42.01(a), 42.01(c), 42.01(e).
