Common use of Paternity leave and other leave entitlements Clause in Contracts

Paternity leave and other leave entitlements. (i) Provided the aggregate of any leave, including leave taken under this subclause, does not exceed the period to which the employee is entitled under paragraph (c) hereof, an employee may, in lieu of or in conjunction with paternity leave, take any annual leave or long service leave or any part thereof to which he/she is entitled. (ii) Paid sick leave or other paid authorised award absences (excluding annual leave or long service leave), shall not be available to an employee during his/her absence on paternity leave.

Paid sick leave or other paid authorised award Agreement absences (excluding annual leave or long service leave), ) shall not be available to an employee during his/her his absence on paternity maternity leave.
