Pay Adjustment for Involuntary Transfer To New Classification. An employee who changes positions as a result of an involuntary transfer will be paid at the rate of pay of the position to which the employee was transferred. The employee will be placed on the appropriate range of the salary schedule on the step that is closest to but not less than the hourly rate of pay at the time of layoff, provided that no employee shall be placed above the top step of the appropriate range.
