Common use of Payment of Sick Leave Reciprocity Clause in Contracts

Payment of Sick Leave Reciprocity. (1) Each full-time member shall be paid, at his/her regular straight-time hourly rate in effect on December 31 of the previous year, for any unused sick leave hours awarded during the preceding calendar year, up to a maximum of seventy-two (72) hours, on a one-for-one basis, or at the member's option, may carry over any unused sick leave hours to the next year. (2) No interest is planned or to be paid by the City on this account.
