Payment of Sick Leave Reciprocity. (1) Each full-time member shall be paid, at his/her regular straight-time hourly rate in effect on December 31 of the previous year, for any unused sick leave hours awarded during the preceding calendar year, up to a maximum of seventy-two (72) hours, on a one-for-one basis, or at the member's option, may carry over any unused sick leave hours to the next year.
