Payment Upon Death of the Employee. Upon death of an employee in active service, earned vacation, not to exceed 240 hours, will be paid, upon request, to the estate of the deceased employee.

Payment Upon Death of the Employee. In the event an employee dies while employed by the Town, their estate shall be entitled to compensation for any unused accumulated sick leave at the rate of fifty dollars ($50.00) per day up to a maximum of five thousand dollars ($5,000), regardless of the length of service and not subject to the aforementioned fifty (50) day minimum accumulation.
