Common use of Per Diem Allowance Clause in Contracts

Per Diem Allowance. (1) Excluding Travel Days, days on which all three (3) meals are provided by the Company while on the Overnight Temporary Assignment, and days for which the employee receives an Overnight Travel Allowance as provided in Section 4.c. below, when an employee, as directed by the supervisor, reports for an Overnight Temporary Assignment, the em- ployee will be entitled to a Per Diem Allowance, as follows: (a) If the Overnight Temporary Assignment lo- cation is within the five-state Company oper- ating area, an amount equal to the IRS maxi- mum Meals & Incidental Expenses (M&IE) Allowances but not to exceed forty-five (45) dollars.
