Percentage and Number of Potential Hits. VA/VHA will submit approximately 4 million records per year in a format SSA defines for the duration of this agreement. Previous matches with the same files indicate that VA/VHA’s records are at least 99 percent accurate and that SSA’s records are approximately 99 percent accurate. The matching of the identification data with IRS’s tax return information is estimated to be 99 percent accurate.
