Perform the EPSDT HealthCheck Screenings. MCOs must provide screenings (periodic comprehensive child health assessments) according to the West Virginia Periodicity Schedule to all enrollees eligible to receive them. The Periodicity Schedule is maintained by the Office of Maternal and Child Health within the Bureau for Public Health at DHHR and corresponds to the AAP’s Bright Futures Guidelines for Health Supervision of Infants, Children and Adolescents. Covered screening services are regularly scheduled examinations and evaluations of the general physical and mental health, growth, development, and nutritional status of infants, children, and youth.
