Performance Improvement. An employee appraisal that includes a rating of below average or unsatisfactory will result in the development of a plan of improvement. The employee has the option of requesting that an Association representative be present. Such a request shall not delay the process more than two (2) working days. If performance concerns are identified at any point during the appraisal process, supervisors may use counseling, coaching, training and / or the development of a performance improvement plan to address these concerns.
