Moving Classrooms. If a classroom or office must be packed up for any reason, the employee(s) requested by his/her supervisor to pack/unpack will be eligible for up to one (1) full day of pay after pre-approval by his/her supervisor so long as said work is outside the employee’s regular work schedule and shall submit a completed time sheet to his/her supervisor. In unusual cases, the Administrator may, in his/her discretion, approve more than one (1) day if needed to complete the move.

Moving Classrooms. Employees who are involuntarily transferred or reassigned to a different classroom between school years shall receive one (1) day of pay at the Extra Pay Work Schedule rate (see Appendix B). Moving Classrooms. 11.2.1 Any unit member who relocates from one classroom to another during the 180 day instructional calendar shall be entitled to one (1) day to move and provided with a substitute teacher. Unit members who move classrooms during vacation periods will be compensated one (1) day at the substitute rate. 11.2.2 Any unit member who is required by the district to move classrooms for a full time assignment shall be compensated with one (1) day of compensatory time.
Moving Classrooms. $10 per hour (for up to sixteen hours) for grade Pre-K-12 teachers when the Administration changes the teacher’s assigned room.
Moving Classrooms. When there are insufficient classrooms in a building for each teacher to be assigned full time to his/her own room, every effort will be made to hold to a minimum the number of times a teacher has to move to a different room consistent with the subject area(s) of the assignment.

In recognition of the room centered environment that elementary teachers create in their classrooms, the following differentiated rates have been created for being required to move classrooms within the building: i. Elementary staff members who required in writing by their supervisor to move classrooms within a building will be eligible for up to ten (10) hours of pay at the Professional Rate to compensate them for a portion of their time for packing, unpacking, and setting up their new classroom. ii. Secondary staff who are required in writing by their supervisor to move classrooms will be eligible for up to seven (7) hours of pay at the Professional Rate to compensate them for a portion of their time for packing, unpacking, and setting up their new classroom, if the staff member’s classroom is also the main location where he or she stores materials and records, and where the majority of his or her teaching assignment occurs. c. Itinerant staff who do not teach students at the beginning of the school year and whose classroom assignments typically differ from that of a general education and special education teacher will be allowed to perform the work of a classroom move during their regular work day. The above rates of compensation will not apply. d. When an employee moves from one (1) classroom to another between buildings, or within the building or within a program, there will be guaranteed custodial assistance, as set up through their supervisor, for moving the boxes and other items to the new location. e. Staff who initiate a reassignment or transfer that results in a classroom move, or request a new classroom, will not be eligible for this compensation. They shall be eligible for custodial assistance in moving boxes and other items to their new location. f. It is the responsibility of the employee to submit a Request for Compensation form at the Professional Rate for the above classroom moving pay within thirty (30) calendar days of the move. 2. Moving Classrooms. Employees moving their classrooms due to teaching assignments, reassignment, voluntary transfer, involuntary transfer, or building reorganization will be compensated the following amounts for packing, moving, unpacking, and organizing instructional and classroom materials. The District shall provide the appropriate method for documentation. 1. $500.00 will be paid if moving from one room in a building to another room in a different building. 2. $250.00 will be paid if moving from one room to another within the same building.

Supplemental Salary Committee8 - A district committee shall be established every9 year, beginning with the 2023-2024 school year, to undertake the task of reviewing the supplemental salary assignments to reflect the district’s expectations of those who hold supplemental contracts. The Supplemental Salary Committee shall have the responsibility of reviewing the present salary schedule, assigning weighting factors to supplemental positions, and hearing appeals by staff members in regard to the weighting factors. Any recommendations for negotiations shall be provided by March 1 of each year. 8 Revised in 2021-2022 The committee will consist of nine (9) members selected from the following guidelines: High School - 2 teachers Middle School - 2 teachers Central Elementary - 1 teacher West Elementary - 1 teacher High School Athletic Director Middle School Athletic Director District Administrator designated by the Superintendent One member will serve as the voting chairperson. The High School Athletic Director will call the first meeting. Teacher members shall be selected to the committee by the WTA President and shall serve a staggered longevity so as to ensure continuity of the committee's policies. One teacher from the high school shall serve two (2) terms and one shall serve three (3). One teacher from the Middle School shall serve two (2) terms and one shall serve three (3). The teacher from West Elementary shall serve three (3) terms and the teacher from Central Elementary shall serve two (2) terms. When the term of service has expired the teacher shall have the option of being replaced or of continuing to serve. Employees who wish adjustments in their supplemental salaries must give written notification to the committee no later than October 15 every year beginning with the 2023-202410 school year. The committee will meet no later than Thanksgiving, and, if needed, a second time no later than January
Moving Classrooms. 1. Payment will be made to a teacher who is required to move his/her classroom: a. When the move is initiated and required by the building Principal; b. The “breaking down” and “setting up” of the classroom is done outside of the regular work day; and c. All time is approved by the building Principal. 2. Teacher should coordinate with the district’s custodial and maintenance services provider to facilitate the actual movement of boxes and supplies. 3. A stipend for the move will be paid at the contracted after-school rate up to a maximum of two (2) six-hour days.
Moving Classrooms. 11.14.1 The District shall provide assistance in the packing up and moving of materials at the request of unit members who are required to move classrooms. 11.14.2 Teachers who are required to move classrooms shall be compensated $240 per day for two (2) days to prepare the classroom for students.
