Permitted Purposes for Use of System and Services. A Data Recipient may use the System and the Services only to locate and retrieve Patient Data for purposes of treatment, payment or health care operations, as those terms are defined in HIPAA. Data Recipients that are public health authorities may use the System and Services for legally sanctioned public health activities including but not limited to: preventing or controlling disease, injury or disability, reporting disease, reporting injuries, reporting vital events, conduct of public health surveillance, conduct of public health investigations, and conduct of public health interventions [45 CFR §164.512(b)(2)].

Permitted Purposes for Use of System and Services. Alternative A: A Data Recipient may use the System and the Services only for the permitted purposes described in an Other HIO’s Policies and Procedures, which are incorporated herein by reference.46
Permitted Purposes for Use of System and Services addresses the circumstances in which Data Recipients may use the HIO’s System and Services to obtain Patient Data. For example, a HIO may allow a Data Recipient to use the System and Services to obtain an individual’s Patient Data only in the context of providing treatment to that individual. The Terms and Conditions assumes that the HIO will also impose limits on the uses to which a Data Recipient may put that Patient Data, and those provisions are discussed in Section 7.5 (Limitations on Use [and Disclosure] of Patient Data).

  • Access to and Use of Content Customer has the right to access and use applicable Content subject to the terms of applicable Order Forms, this Agreement and the Documentation.

  • Use of Software Any software that is available on the Services ("Software") is the copyrighted work of Red Hat and/or its licensors. Copying or reproducing the Software to any other server or location for further reproduction or redistribution is strictly prohibited, unless such reproduction or redistribution is permitted by a license agreement accompanying such Software. You may not create derivative works of the Software, or attempt to decompile or reverse-engineer the Software unless otherwise permitted by law. Use of the Software is subject to the license terms of any license agreement that may accompany or is provided with the Software. You may not download any Software until you have read and accepted the terms of the accompanying software license.
