Common use of Personal Circumstance Leave Clause in Contracts

Personal Circumstance Leave. A regular or term employee will be granted upon application, for illness within the immediate family, personal circumstance leave with pay of three (3) days for tending to and/or arranging for the care of a member of the employee's immediate family as defined in Article 13.2. Personal circumstance leave may be granted more than once for the same situation, provided the total personal circumstance leave and/or bereavement leave requirements do not exceed twelve (12) working days per year. Personal circumstance leave entitlement will be allotted in each calendar year. It shall not accrue and unused time shall not be carried forward to the next year.
