Personal Leave must be utilized for a summons or subpoena. issued because of a non-job-related issue. If the employee has exhausted his/her personal leave, and is summoned or subpoenaed for something that is not job-related, “Leave Pursuant to Summons or Subpoena” may be used in order to comply with the subpoena or summons where the employee is not a party to the proceeding. Where the employee is a party to the proceeding and the employee has exhausted his/her personal leave, the employee will be given leave without pay in order to comply with the subpoena or summons.
