Common use of PERSONAL NECESSITY LEAVE - Personal Clause in Contracts

PERSONAL NECESSITY LEAVE - Personal. necessity leave shall be used for circumstances which cannot be expected to be disregarded, necessitate immediate attention, and which cannot be dealt with during off duty hours. 14.3.1 Personal necessity leave shall not be used for: Political activities or demonstrations Vacation, recreation or social activities Civic or organization activities Employee association activities Routine personal activities Occupational investigation 14.3.2 Bargaining unit members may elect to use up to 80 hours per year of unused sick leave for purposes of approved personal necessity leave. 14.3.2.1 Up to two (2) days of Personal Necessity Leave may be used for absences as a result of personal business. Personal business may cover any circumstances that are not prohibited in this article.
