Common use of Physician Examination Clause in Contracts

Physician Examination. The Employer may require the Employee to take an examination, conducted by a licensed physician, to determine the Employee's physical capability to perform the duties of the Employee's position. If found not qualified, the Employee may be placed on sick leave. The cost of such examination shall be paid by the City. Should the opinion of the licensed physician conflict with that of the Employee's personal physician, a third physician shall be selected by the previous two physicians. The opinion of the third physician shall be borne jointly between the city and the employee.
