Police Chief Authorized Extra Work Pay. The Appointing Authority has the power to increase an Employee’s pay by an amount not to exceed 4% of the Employee’s current rate of pay for a period of time that the Employer, unilaterally, determines that the Employee is ordered to perform extra work or work of greater value to the Employer. This extra duty work, and the time that extra pay will be paid for it, shall first be described in writing by the Employer. No Employee shall receive more than 12 months extra duty pay without a review and written approval from the Chief Administrative Officer in one calendar year. No Employee shall have a right to demand or receive extra duty pay.
