Common use of Political Leave Clause in Contracts

Political Leave. a. Leave of absence without pay for up to twelve (12) weeks shall be granted to an employee for the purpose of campaigning for a public office for which s/he has officially qualified. b. Leave of absence without pay may be granted for any employee elected to public office. c. Short-term leave of absence with pay shall be granted for elected public officials to conduct official business for up to five (5) days per year. Additional days may be granted by the Superintendent.

Short-term leave of absence with pay shall be granted for elected public officials to conduct official business for up to five (5) days per year.
