Preferred Handling. Where an employee is suspended or dismissed by the Employer, the Employer shall notify the employee in writing of the suspension or dismissal. The notice shall set forth the reasons for the suspension or dismissal. A copy of the written notice shall be forwarded to the Union within five (5) days of the action being taken. Grievances with respect to suspension or dismissal may be filed at Step 3.
