Common use of Premium Conditions Clause in Contracts

Premium Conditions. It is understood that the provisions of this Agreement relating to wages, hours and conditions of work are intended to establish minimum terms for the employment of employees subject to this Agreement. The Employer is free to establish terms above the minimums contained in the Agreement, at the Employer’s sole discretion, and the Employer agrees that if it pays an employee a wage rate in excess of the rates contained in this Agreement, the Employer will not subsequently reduce that employee’s wage rate. The Employer will not apply this Section in an unlawful or discriminatory manner.
