Prevailing Wage Rates; Hours of Work. If the total value of the work is less than $1,000, this is not required. If the value of the work exceeds $1,000, the Contractor and all Subcontractors shall: (i) pay their respective workers wage rates not less than the prevailing wage rate established for the classification, trade or work performed by each worker; and (ii) maintain complete and accurate payroll records for workers engaged in the Work. The Contractor and Subcontractors shall not permit any worker to provide more than eight (8) hours of work per day or forty (40) hours per week without additional compensation as mandated by law. The Contractor shall be subject to all penalties and assessments provided by law or regulation for violation(s) of the prevailing wage rate requirements or hours of work limits. Monitoring and enforcement of the prevailing wage laws and related requirements will be performed by the Labor Commissioner/ Department of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE).
