Prevention and Education. Discovery Academy of Science will implement evidence-based bullying prevention programs and provide training for all school staff, including teachers, administrators, support staff, and volunteers. Students will participate in age-appropriate anti-bullying lessons and activities designed to raise awareness and promote empathy, kindness, and respect. Parents and guardians will be informed about the school's anti-bullying policy and encouraged to reinforce positive behavior and values at home.

Prevention and Education. The Employer shall ensure that: (i) Each Employee covered by this Agreement receives a copy of this Article; (ii) A copy of this Article is prominently posted in the workplace; (iii) Management Staff will receive training via the Ontario Human Rights Commission eLearning portal.
Prevention and Education. This strategy includes: education and awareness programs, role modeling, developing positive relationships, and supporting schools and communities to create safe and inclusive learning environments.
Prevention and Education. The Employer shall ensure that: (i) Each Employee covered by this Agreement receives a copy of this Article; (ii) A copy of this Article is prominently posted in the workplace; (iii) Managers in authority are trained with respect to their responsibilities under this Article and the Ontario Human Rights Code, in creating and maintaining an environment free from discrimination, harassment, and bullying, and any other conduct prohibited under this Article. They will also be trained in regard to investigative and resolution mechanisms designed to deal with such problems; (iv) Each Employee participates in an educational seminar regarding discrimination, harassment, and bullying related to all prohibited grounds, and is encouraged to help create an environment free from discrimination, harassment, and bullying.

  • Health Promotion and Health Education Both parties to this Agreement recognize the value and importance of health promotion and health education programs. Such programs can assist employees and their dependents to maintain and enhance their health, and to make appropriate use of the health care system. To work toward these goals:

  • Education and Training The foundation of this Program is education and voluntary compliance. It is recognized that alcohol and chemical dependency may make voluntary cessation of use difficult, and one of the Program’s principal aims is to make voluntary steps toward ending substance abuse easily available. The outside contractor shall review and develop on-going educational and training information on the adverse consequences of substance abuse and the responsibility to avoid being under the influence of alcohol or chemicals at work. Certain training required by the DOT Regulations shall be the responsibility of the Substance Abuse Program.

  • Training and Education SECTION 1 – Law Enforcement Supervisors’ Training

  • Outreach and Education The agencies agree to coordinate, conduct joint outreach presentations, and prepare and distribute publications, when appropriate, for the regulated community of common concern. • The agencies agree to work with each other to provide a side-by-side comparison of laws with overlapping provisions and jurisdiction. • The agencies agree to provide a hyperlink on each agency’s website linking users directly to the outreach materials in areas of mutual jurisdiction and concern. • The agencies agree to jointly disseminate outreach materials to the regulated community, when appropriate. • All materials bearing the DOL or DOL/WHD name, logo, or seal must be approved in advance by DOL. • All materials bearing the OEAS name, logo, or seal must be approved in advance by OEAS.

  • Education Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree, or technical institute degree/certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.

  • General Education University Program Requirements All MTA applicable courses require a grade “C” or higher

  • Workplace Violence Prevention and Crisis Response (applicable to any Party and any subcontractors and sub-grantees whose employees or other service providers deliver social or mental health services directly to individual recipients of such services): Party shall establish a written workplace violence prevention and crisis response policy meeting the requirements of Act 109 (2016), 33 VSA §8201(b), for the benefit of employees delivering direct social or mental health services. Party shall, in preparing its policy, consult with the guidelines promulgated by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration for Preventing Workplace Violence for Healthcare and Social Services Workers, as those guidelines may from time to time be amended. Party, through its violence protection and crisis response committee, shall evaluate the efficacy of its policy, and update the policy as appropriate, at least annually. The policy and any written evaluations thereof shall be provided to employees delivering direct social or mental health services. Party will ensure that any subcontractor and sub-grantee who hires employees (or contracts with service providers) who deliver social or mental health services directly to individual recipients of such services, complies with all requirements of this Section.

  • Professional and Education Leaves (a) Leave of absence with pay or without pay may be granted to employees to attend professional and educational meetings, courses, or other events which may be judged beneficial to the employee's professional development, especially as it relates to her responsibilities with the Employer.

  • Abuse and Neglect of Children and Vulnerable Adults: Abuse Registry Party agrees not to employ any individual, to use any volunteer or other service provider, or to otherwise provide reimbursement to any individual who in the performance of services connected with this agreement provides care, custody, treatment, transportation, or supervision to children or to vulnerable adults if there has been a substantiation of abuse or neglect or exploitation involving that individual. Party is responsible for confirming as to each individual having such contact with children or vulnerable adults the non-existence of a substantiated allegation of abuse, neglect or exploitation by verifying that fact though (a) as to vulnerable adults, the Adult Abuse Registry maintained by the Department of Disabilities, Aging and Independent Living and (b) as to children, the Central Child Protection Registry (unless the Party holds a valid child care license or registration from the Division of Child Development, Department for Children and Families). See 33 V.S.A. §4919(a)(3) and 33 V.S.A. §6911(c)(3).
