Prior Experience for Initial Step Placement. 1. Special Education and Alternative Education One salary step will be allowed for each year of verified successful full-time teaching. A maximum of eleven (11) years prior experience will be allowed. Thus, the maximum starting step shall be the twelfth step. Part-time teaching, minimum of one (1) semester, or appropriate clinical experience shall be accumulated into full year increments. a. For Special Education only, the appropriate division head shall make final determination regarding appropriateness of clinical experience regarding initial placement on salary schedule for unit members in language, speech and hearing, nursing and orientation/mobility positions. Credit shall only be given for experience rendered after the attainment of a B.A. or B.S. and R.N. designation for nurses, the completion of a college approved program for those employed in positions in orientation/mobility or for experience rendered after the attainment of a certification of clinical competence, state license or a credential in the case of speech and hearing 2. Regional Occupational Program One salary step allowed for each one year of verified and approved vocational experience beyond those required to meet credential requirements. Maximum starting step based upon vocational experience shall be Step 5. a. In addition to the allowed vocational experience as described above, one salary step shall be allowed for each year of verified and approved classroom teaching experience to a maximum of Step 12 where allowable. B. A full year of credit will be given for a partial year of full-time teaching if it involved at least 75 percent of a school year.

  • STATUTORY PENALTY FOR INADEQUATE QUALIFIED INVESTMENT Pursuant to Section 313.0275 of the TEXAS TAX CODE, in the event that the Applicant fails to make $10,000,000 of Qualified Investment, in whole or in part, during the Qualifying Time Period, the Applicant is liable to the State for a penalty. The amount of the penalty is the amount determined by: (i) multiplying the maintenance and operations tax rate of the school district for that tax year that the penalty is due by (ii) the amount obtained after subtracting (a) the Tax Limitation Amount identified in Section 2.4.B from (b) the Market Value of the property identified on the Appraisal District's records for the Tax Year the penalty is due. This penalty shall be paid on or before February 1 of the year following the expiration of the Qualifying Time Period and is subject to the delinquent penalty provisions of Section 33.01 of the TEXAS TAX CODE. The Comptroller may grant a waiver of this penalty in the event of Force Majeure which prevents compliance with this provision.

  • What if I Make a Contribution for Which I Am Ineligible or Change My Mind About the Type of IRA to Which I Wish to Contribute?

  • Loans from the General Partner; Loans or Contributions from the Partnership or Group Members (a) The General Partner or any of its Affiliates may lend to any Group Member, and any Group Member may borrow from the General Partner or any of its Affiliates, funds needed or desired by the Group Member for such periods of time and in such amounts as the General Partner may determine; provided, however, that in any such case the lending party may not charge the borrowing party interest at a rate greater than the rate that would be charged the borrowing party or impose terms less favorable to the borrowing party than would be charged or imposed on the borrowing party by unrelated lenders on comparable loans made on an arm’s-length basis (without reference to the lending party’s financial abilities or guarantees), all as determined by the General Partner. The borrowing party shall reimburse the lending party for any costs (other than any additional interest costs) incurred by the lending party in connection with the borrowing of such funds. For purposes of this Section 7.6(a) and Section 7.6(b), the term “Group Member” shall include any Affiliate of a Group Member that is controlled by the Group Member. (b) The Partnership may lend or contribute to any Group Member, and any Group Member may borrow from the Partnership, funds on terms and conditions determined by the General Partner. No Group Member may lend funds to the General Partner or any of its Affiliates (other than another Group Member). (c) No borrowing by any Group Member or the approval thereof by the General Partner shall be deemed to constitute a breach of any duty, expressed or implied, of the General Partner or its Affiliates to the Partnership or the Limited Partners by reason of the fact that the purpose or effect of such borrowing is directly or indirectly to (i) enable distributions to the General Partner or its Affiliates (including in their capacities as Limited Partners) to exceed the General Partner’s Percentage Interest of the total amount distributed to all partners or (ii) hasten the expiration of the Subordination Period or the conversion of any Subordinated Units into Common Units.

  • Dissolving Events The Partnership shall be liquidated and dissolved in the manner hereinafter provided upon the happening of any of the following events, whichever first occurs: (a) the written action of the General Partner to terminate the Partnership; Carrabba’s/Mid East, Limited Partnership 12 (b) the entry of a final judgment, order or decree of a court of competent jurisdiction adjudicating the Partnership to be a bankrupt, and the expiration of the period, if any, allowed by applicable law in which to appeal therefrom; (c) the withdrawal of the General Partner; or (d) any other event that would cause the dissolution of the Partnership under the Act.

  • How Much May I Contribute to a Xxxxxxxxx Education Savings Account?

  • Time Off for Union Business ‌ (a) Leave of absence without pay shall be granted upon request for the reasons set out below unless it would unduly interrupt the Employer's operations: (1) to an elected or appointed representative of the Union to attend conventions of the Union and bodies to which the Union is affiliated, to a maximum of 21 days per occurrence; (2) for elected or appointed representatives of the Union to attend to union business which requires them to leave their general work area; (3) for employees who are representatives of the Union on a bargaining committee. (b) Long-term leave of absence without pay shall be granted to employees designated by the Union to transact union business for specific periods of not less than 21 days unless this would unduly interrupt the operation of the department. Such requests shall be made in writing sufficiently in advance to minimize disruption of the department. Employees granted such leave of absence shall retain all rights and privileges accumulated prior to obtaining such leave. Seniority shall continue to accumulate during such leave and shall apply to such provisions as annual vacations, increments and promotions. (c) When leave of absence without pay is granted pursuant to Part (a) or (b), the leave shall be given with pay and the Union shall reimburse the Employer for salary and benefit costs, including travel time incurred, within 60 days of receipt of the invoice. It is understood that employees granted leave of absence pursuant to this clause shall receive their current rates of pay while on leave of absence. Leave of absence granted under this clause shall include sufficient travel time. The pay and benefits received by the employee and reimbursed by the Union under this article shall be based on the number of hours to which the Union indicates, in writing, the employee is entitled. This provision does not apply to employees on extended leaves of absence who are employed by the Union on a full-time basis. (d) Leave of absence with pay and without loss of seniority will be granted to an employee called to appear as a witness before an arbitration board, provided the dispute involved the Employer. On application, the Arbitration Board may determine summarily the amount of time required for the attendance of any witness. (e) The Union shall provide the Employer with reasonable notice to minimize disruption of the operation and shall make every reasonable effort to give a minimum of 14 days’ notice prior to the commencement of leave under (a) or (b) above. The Employer agrees that any of the above leaves of absence shall not be unreasonably withheld.
