Deduction and Payment of Charitable Contributions. Any employee who belongs to a religious body described herein shall, within thirty (30) days of the date of this Agreement or their employment, present proof to the Association that they are a member of such religious body and shall execute a written authorization for the payroll deduction in an amount equal to the service fee payable to one of the four organizations listed in Section 3.3.4 of this Agreement, or in the alternative, such employee shall provide proof to the District that such payments have been made on an annual basis as a condition of continued exemption from the requirements of financial support to the exclusive representative. If such employee who holds conscientious objections pursuant to this section requests the employee organization to use the grievance procedure on the employee's behalf, the employee organization is authorized to charge the employee for the reasonable cost of using such procedure.

CSEA will furnish all service fee payers with an adequate explanation of the basis for the fee and the calculation of that portion of the fee which is chargeable to activities related to collective bargaining in accordance with applicable law. CSEA will provide all service fee payers with a reasonable prompt opportunity to challenge this calculation before an impartial decision maker and will deposit into an interest-bearing escrow account all amounts in dispute while such challenges are pending in accordance with applicable law.
Deduction and Payment of Charitable Contributions. 6.5.1 As evidence that an employee belongs to a religious body described herein, such employee shall, within thirty (30) days of the date of this Agreement, or his/her employment, present proof to CSEA that he/she is a member of such religious body. He/she shall execute a written authorization for the payroll deduction in an amount equal to the service fee payable to one (1) of the three (3) organizations listed in Section 6.4 of this Agreement.

In the alternative, such employee shall 23 provide proof to the District that such payments have been made on an annual basis as a 24 condition of continued exemption from the requirement of financial support to the 25 exclusive representative. If such employee who holds conscientious objections 26 pursuant to this section requests the employee organization to use the grievance 27 procedure or arbitration procedure on the employee’s behalf, the employee organization 28 shall charge the employee for the reasonable costs of using such procedure. 29

If such employee who holds conscientious objections pursuant to this section requests the employee organization to use the grievance procedure or arbitration procedure on the employee's behalf, the employee organization is authorized to charge the employee for the reasonable cost of using such procedure.

If such unit member who holds conscientious objections pursuant to this section requests the employee organization to use the grievance procedure or arbitration procedure on the unit member’s behalf, the employee organization is authorized to charge the unit member for the reasonable cost of using such procedure.

A bargaining unit member who belongs to a religious body described herein shall, within thirty (30) days of their employment, present proof to the Association that they are a member of such religious body and shall execute a written authorization 10 for the payroll deduction in an amount equal to the service fee payable to one of the 11 three (3) organizations listed in Section 4.1.4 of this Agreement, or in the 12 alternative, such employee shall provide proof to the Employer that such payments 13 have been made on an annual basis as a condition of continued exemption from the 14 requirement of financial support to the Association.
Deduction and Payment of Charitable Contributions. 28 Any employee who belongs to a religious body described herein shall, within 29 thirty (30) days of the date of this Agreement or employment, present proof to 30 CSEA of membership of such religious body and shall execute a written 31 authorization for the payroll deduction in an amount equal to the service fee 1 payable to one of the three organizations listed in Section 6.4 of this Agreement, 2 or in the alternative, such employee shall provide proof to the District that such 3 payments have been made on an annual basis as a condition of continued 4 exemption from the requirement of financial support to the exclusive 5 representative. If such employee who holds conscientious objections pursuant to 6 this section requests the employee organization to use the grievance procedure 7 or arbitration procedure on the employee's behalf, the employee organization is 8 authorized to charge the employee for the reasonable cost of using such 9 procedure.
