PROCEDURE FOR SUBMITTING PROJECT PROPOSALS. A. Time. Place and Format Proposals must be received at City Hall no later than 5:00 p.m. on the date indicated in Section 2. Proposals received in the mail after 5:00 p.m. on the date indicated in Section 2, regardless of the date of their postmarks, will be rejected. Proposals must: • not be folded, tabbed or bound • show page numbers for all pages in the proposal • include 3 copies punched for a standard 3-ring binder (place the copies in binder clips) • be on 8-1/2"x11 ", 20-24 lb. white paper (do not submit covers) • be submitted in one or more envelopes, each of which clearly: ./ states ucontract Administration and Construction Inspection Services Project Proposal" ./ identifies the proposer ./ states the number of the envelope and the total number of envelopes submitted by the proposer • the envelope must be addressed as follows: .City of Placentia Attn: Luis Estevez, Public Works Manager 401 E. Chapman Avenue Placentia, CA 92870 • the successful Proposer must submit the Scope of Work and Fee in electronic format (MS Word or other format acceptable to the City) in addition to the paper copy, upon request. If hand delivered, address as above and deliver to the City Clerk receptionist on the first floor of City Hall. Proposals must address the requirements of the RFP in the exact order set forth in Section 4. They should be as concise as possible and must not contain any promotional, advertising or display material.

  • BID SUBMISSION All Bids are to be packaged, sealed and submitted to the location stated in the Bid Specifications. Bidders are solely responsible for timely delivery of their Bids to the location set forth in the Bid Specifications prior to the stated Bid opening date/time. A Bid return envelope, if provided with the Bid Specifications, should be used with the Bid sealed inside. If the Bid response does not fit into the envelope, the Bid envelope should be attached to the outside of the sealed box or package with the Bid inside. If using a commercial delivery company that requires use of their shipping package or envelope, Bidder’s sealed Bid, labeled as detailed below, should be placed within the shipper’s sealed envelope to ensure that the Bid is not prematurely opened. All Bids must have a label on the outside of the package or shipping container outlining the following information: “BID ENCLOSED (bold print, all capitals) • Group Number • IFB or RFP Number • Bid Submission date and time” In the event that a Bidder fails to provide such information on the return Bid envelope or shipping material, the receiving entity reserves the right to open the shipping package or envelope to determine the proper Bid number or Product group, and the date and time of Bid opening. Bidder shall have no claim against the receiving entity arising from such opening and such opening shall not affect the validity of the Bid or the procurement. Notwithstanding the receiving agency’s right to open a Bid to ascertain the foregoing information, Bidder assumes all risk of late delivery associated with the Bid not being identified, packaged or labeled in accordance with the foregoing requirements.   • PROCEDURE FOR APPROVAL OF SETTLEMENT 28. Acceptance of this Settlement Agreement shall be sought at a hearing of the Central Regional Council of the MFDA on a date agreed to by counsel for Staff and the Respondent.

  • Hearing Procedure Prior to initiating the hearing procedure, the school official, the parent(s) or the guardian may request a conference to provide an opportunity for the parent(s)/guardian(s) and school official(s) to discuss the situation, present information, obtain an explanation of data submitted in the application and the decisions rendered.   • ARTICLE GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE The parties to this Agreement are agreed that it is of the utmost importance to adjust complaints and grievances as quickly as possible. Unless agreed to by both the Company and the Union, no grievance shall be presented, the alleged circumstances of which originated or occurred, or should have come to the attention of the employee concerned, more than five (5) working days prior to its original presentation in writing at Step A grievance shall consist of a dispute concerning interpretation and/or application of any Article, Schedule or Clause in this Agreement. Should a grievance arise it shall be handled as follows. Prior to filing a formal grievance, an employee will, with the assistance of his xxxxxxx, refer the on an informal basis to his immediate Supervisor. If the grievance cannot be settled as a result of this discussion, then it may be dealt with as follows: STEP The employee shall a written grievance with his immediate Supervisor within five (5) working days of the incident giving rise to the complaint. The grievance shall specify the Article or Articles and subsections of the Agreement of which a violation is alleged, indicate the relief sought and be signed by the employee. STEP Should the employee be dissatisfied with the disposition of the grievance at Step the grievance may be referred to the Plant Manager within five (5) working days after receipt of the immediate Supervisor's reply at Step The Plant Manager shall convene a meeting with the and Chief Xxxxxxx and shall answer the grievance in writing within five (5) working days of such meeting. STEP If no settlement is reached at Step the the Union Grievance Committee and representatives of Management shall meet to discuss the grievance within five (5) working days of receipt of the reply of the Plant Manager. The Union's National Representative will be in attendance at this meeting. If the grievance is not settled within five (5) working days it may be referred to arbitration as hereinafter provided. The Union or the Company may initiate a grievance beginning at Step of the Grievance Procedure. Such grievance shall be filed within five (5) working days of the incident giving rise to the complaint and be in the form prescribed in Step Any such grievance may be referred to arbitration under Article by either the Union in the case of a Union grievance or the Company in the case of a Company grievance. The Union may not institute a grievance directly affecting an employee or employees which such employee or employees could themselves institute and the regular Grievance Procedure shall not thereby be by-passed except where the grievance would affect the Bargaining Unit as a whole. This Clause shall not preclude a group grievance signed by a group of employees commencing at Step Any complaint or grievance which is not commenced or processed through the next stage of the Grievance or Arbitration Procedure within the time specified shall be deemed to have been dropped. However, time limits specified in the Grievance Procedure may be extended by mutual agreement in writing between the Company and the Union. An employee who has been discharged or suspended may file a written grievance at Step within five (5) working days of the discharge or suspension. Rolling Sunset Clause: In taking disciplinary action within twenty-four (24) months from the date of a suspension or dismissal (reinstatement) for a similar infraction, the Company may consider the employee's entire record preceding suspension or dismissal (reinstatement), as the case may be. In taking disciplinary action within twelve 2) months from the date of an oral or written warning for a similar infraction, the Company may consider the employee's entire record preceding the employee's oral or written warning, as the case may be.

  • Sole Source as Grounds for Rejection of a Change Order If a Change Order is submitted to Contractor for the purposes of adding a Bulletin to this Contract and said Bulletin designates a Sole Source from which Contractor is required to procure goods or services necessary to perform the Work, which Sole Source has not been designated previously, Contractor shall be entitled to reject the proposed Change Order if the designated Sole Source refuses to provide to Contractor the warranties, bonds, terms or schedule required under the Contract Documents, including any warranty or terms or schedule required by Bulletins referenced in the proposed Change Order. In such event, Contractor shall give written notice to the Owner rejecting the proposed Change Order and, if possible, shall accompany said written notice with a proposal from Contractor for changes or modifications to the Bulletin so as to eliminate the Sole Source designation but to achieve goods or services equal in quality or function. The Owner may then require the Design Professional to revise the subject Bulletin so as to eliminate the designation of the Sole Source by incorporation of Contractor's proposal or otherwise. Upon revision of the Bulletin by the Design Professional and approval thereof by the Owner, the Owner shall again submit to the Contractor a proposed Change Order for the purpose of adding the revised Bulletin to this Contract. If the Owner decides to retain the Sole Source in the Change Order and Contractor cannot acquire the full contractually required warranties from the Sole Source, Contractor shall be held only to the warranty terms and schedule obtainable from the Sole Source.
