Procedures at Each Study Visit Sample Clauses

Procedures at Each Study Visit. Subjects should be consented prior to Visit 1 since they must consent to withholding short-acting bronchodilators for six hours and long-acting bronchodilators for twelve hours prior to this visit. (Subjects must not be asked to withhold their medication for study purposes prior to consent, but any subject who arrives at the clinic for a routine visit having withheld medication may be consented and enter the study at Visit 1). The study should be explained, signed and dated written informed consent obtained and a copy of the consent form and information leaflet provided to the subject (see Protocol Section 9.2.4). It is the responsibility of the investigator, or designee to perform an oropharyngeal examination at each clinic visit, and although this information is not required in the CRF, if there is any abnormality, this must be reported as an AE (except at Visit 1, when it is reported as a concurrent medical condition). Subjects who have a COPD exacerbation during the run-in period that requires systemic corticosteroid therapy and/or hospitalisation will not be eligible to be randomised. Subjects should complete the SGRQ and EQ-5D prior to receiving the results from their clinic visit spirometry. See Section 11.1, Time and Events Schedule. Each study visit will be calculated from Visit 2, rather than from the previous study visit. Visits will be scheduled for 12, 24, 36, 48, 60, 72, 84, 96, 108, 120, 132, 144 and 156 weeks from Visit 2. Visits may vary from these timelines by ± 14 days.
