It is agreed that this is a joint responsibility of site management, the employer and the job xxxxxxx. In order to achieve the satisfactory induction of employees it is recommended that new employees are given an explanation of all safety rules and procedures, including the provisions of any relevant legislation or regulation, security, emergency procedures and any relevant agreements affecting the site. This should be undertaken by site management, the job xxxxxxx and the safety supervisor safety committee. The induction presentations and materials shall have regard to the language skills of the employee.

This program will outline enterprise OH&S policy and procedures, particular hazards associated with the work, control measures for each hazard, identification of hazards and instigation of preventative action. Workplace Literacy and English Programs will include OH&S issues.
