Procedures for Verification of Origin. 1. The importing Party may request information about the origin of a good to the competent authority of the exporting Party.

In determining whether a good imported from the territory of the other party under preferential tariff treatment qualifies as originating, the importing Party may, through its competent authority to verify the origin of the good through: Written questionnaires and requests for information to an exporter or producer of the exporting Party; Visits to the premises of the exporter or producer in the territory of the exporting Party to review the records and documents referred to in article 5.04 (5), in addition to inspect the facilities and materials or products that are used in the production of the goods; and Other procedures as agreed by the parties.
