Common use of Professional Duties Clause in Contracts

Professional Duties. The parties recognize that the University accomplishes a variety of academic and professional services including undergraduate, graduate, and professional instruction, research and community service. The professional duties required of the faculty shall be in accordance with the mission of the University. Individual workload assignments of members of the bargaining unit shall be consistent with the practice of their department, program, or unit. Claims of inconsistency with such practices by members of the bargaining unit shall be grievable as a Category Two grievance under the contract grievance procedure (Article IX).

Claims of inconsistency with such practices and policies by members of the bargaining negotiations unit shall be grievable as a Category Two grievance under the contract grievance procedure (Article IX9).
