Professional Teaching Fellows. Advancement across the steps shall be the decision of the employer in accordance with the promotions procedures Except for crossing the bar at step 5, advancement to the next step in the grade shall occur after 12 months on the previous step, subject to a statement signed by the academic head and ▇▇▇▇ confirming satisfactory performance in accordance with the Schedule of Duties (Schedule 1) and the standards contained in the ‘Academic Standards’ HR Policy (“Standards Policy”). Where approval is withheld the staff member must be provided with details of the unsatisfactory performance and remedial action agreed.
