Professional Development Fund. 33.01 The Division and the Association shall jointly administer a Professional Development Fund of a sum equal to the table below, funded by the Division annually. 150,000 150,000 150,000 150,000
Professional Development Fund. A budget item equal to one-half (½) of one (1) percent of employees' salaries shall be set aside annually to be used to: (a) pay employees granted leave at part or full salary under items Clauses 10.1(c) and (d); (b) supplement outside funds and/or cover a portion of the non-salary costs associated with approved programs, including exchanges. The Standards and Ethics Committee shall receive and review all requests for use of professional development funds and shall direct the Director of Finance in the allocation of the funds. The Committee shall establish guidelines for administration of the professional development program subject to College policy and guidelines for funding limits and reporting procedures.
Professional Development Fund. The Board shall provide a Professional Development Fund of $20,000.00 per school year for teacher initiated professional development.

The Parties suggest that the Committee consider the following two priorities: (1) to assist new employees within the first two years of employment in the bargaining unit in the development of their professional competence and ability; and (2) to assist employees in upgrading their qualifications for full-time academic appointments.

Professional Development Fund. 21.1 The Board shall maintain a fund, known as the Professional Development Fund for the purpose of promoting professional development of the teaching staff of the district. 21.2 The Board shall place a minimum amount of $150.00 per F.T.E. into this fund. 21.3 The cost of salaries and benefits of employees of the school district shall not be a charge against this fund. 21.4 The cost of curriculum implementation shall not be a charge against this fund. 21.5 The fund shall be administered by the District Professional Development Steering Committee.
