PROJECT SCOPE DESCRIPTION. The project scope will consist of preparation of the contract plans, specifications, and cost estimates for the replacement of Blivin Street (FAS 1239) structure over the Nippersink Creek and roadway reconstruction from Station 211+61 ± to Station 215+70± along Blivin Street with a total length of approximately 450 ft. All work for this project will be in English units. The existing bridge (S.N. 056-3024) is approximately 151’8” long (back to back of abutments). It carries two 13’-0” lanes, two 6’-0” sidewalks and a 4’-0” median with a total width of 42’-0”. The existing bridge is a three span, 50’-0” for each span with 151’-8” abutments (b-b). The existing superstructure consists of nine 21” deep x 48” prestressed precast concrete deck beams with a bituminous overlay. The proposed structure (S.N. 056-3191) will provide for 12’ lanes in each direction with a 1’-0” shoulder, along with 5’-7” sidewalks on both sides of the bridge. A 1’-0” wide concrete bridge rail, sidewalk mounted, will be provided on both bridge fascias. The total improvement width of the structure will be 39’-6” out to out. Standard bridge approach pavement cast with sidewalk will be provided at each end of the proposed bridge. The total length of the bridge structure will be 158’-8” back to back of abutments. A 30’-0” standard approach slab will be installed on either side of the abutments. Title Sheet: BLA will prepare the title sheet according to the BDE manual chapter 63, state job numbering form and as directed by the XxXxxxx County Division of Transportation (MCDOT). Mylar will be submitted to the XxXxxxx County District Engineer.

All work for this project will be in English units. The existing Xxxxxxxx Road bridge (S.N. over Piscasaw Creek, SN 056-3024) 3010, is located in Chemung Township within XxXxxxx County. Relative to a major arterial, the project is located approximately 151’8” long (back to back 2.9 miles west of abutments). It carries two 13’-0” lanes, two 6’-0” sidewalks US 14 and a 4’-0” median with a total width 3.5 miles north of 42’-0”IL-173. The existing bridge is a three two span, 50’-042’-8” for each span with 151’-885’-8” abutments (b-b), zero degree skew. It carries two 12’-3” lanes and two 1’-3” curbs with a total width of 27’-0”. The existing superstructure consists of nine 21” deep x 4836” prestressed precast concrete deck beams with a bituminous overlay. The proposed structure (S.N. 056-3191) will provide for 12’ lanes in each direction with a 1’-08’-4shoulder, along with 5’-7” sidewalks shoulder on both sides of the bridge. A 1’-01’-8wide concrete bridge rail, sidewalk mounted, curb section will be provided on both bridge fasciasfascias with Wyoming 2-Tube Steel Railing (TL-4) mounted on each curb section. The total improvement width of the structure will be 39’-644’-0” out to out. Standard bridge approach pavement cast with sidewalk will be provided at each end of the proposed bridge. The total length of the bridge structure will be 158’-892’-8” back to back of abutments. A 30’-0” standard approach slab will be installed on either side of the abutments. The proposed bridge will by a three span bridge to reduce the profile and right-of-way impacts and will include the extension of the two 72” CMP culverts at approximately Sta. 209+30. Title Sheet: BLA will prepare the title sheet according to the BDE manual chapter 63, state job numbering form and as directed by the XxXxxxx County Division of Transportation (MCDOT). Mylar will be submitted to the XxXxxxx County District Engineer.
