Promotional Preparation Seminars. Employees wishing to attend Department-sponsored promotional preparation seminars (including advanced paygrade selection seminars) on a work day may request permission to do so from their watch commander or unit officer-in-charge and should be allowed to attend as long as it does not have a significant impact on the watch or unit’s operation that day.
