Common use of Promotions/Rate of Compensation Clause in Contracts

Promotions/Rate of Compensation. When an employee receives a promotion, he/she is entitled to compensation based on the lowest step on the higher range allowing a minimum increase of 2.5%, except that the employee may be placed on the last step of the appropriate range if that is the maximum allowable.
