Protect Property. You must take all reasonable steps to protect covered property at and after a covered loss to avoid further damage. We pay for repairs which are reasonable and necessary to protect the property from further damage, provided you keep an accurate record of such expenses. These payments do not increase the amount of insurance otherwise applicable to the loss.

Protect Property. I will not modify the laptop in any way that will permanently alter the device physically or electronically. I will keep the district asset tags in place on the device. "We" pay the reasonable costs incurred by "you" for necessary repairs or emergency measures performed solely to protect covered property from further damage by a peril insured against if a peril insured against has already caused a loss to covered property. This does not increase the "limit" for the covered property.
