PROTECTION OF TEACHERS. Section 4.1 The District recognizes its responsibility to give all reasonable support and assistance to teachers with respect to the maintenance of control and discipline. Whenever it appears that a particular pupil requires the attention of special counselors, social workers, law enforcement personnel, physicians, or other professional personnel, the teacher will take the necessary steps to refer the child to the building principal, who will refer the child to the appropriate available service, If requested by the principal, the teacher will cooperate with the referral agency.
