Protective Vests. Deputies regularly assigned to patrol division who request in writing the issuance of a protective vest shall be provided a protective vest at no cost to the Deputy. Once a vest is requested and issued, it shall be a condition of employment for the Deputy to wear the vest at all times while on duty and/or in uniform. Vests will be replaced every five (5) years or sooner, if damaged, according to the manufacture recommendations.
