Travel Time for Training. Employees who travel to a required training course during work hours shall have those hours counted as time worked. Within a workweek, a department head may adjust the starting and quitting times of an employee on a straight time basis to accommodate any hours accumulated during travel on County business. If this is not possible, the additional hours will be treated as hours worked.
Travel Time for Training. The Employer shall pay employees at the applicable rate for 33 all approved travel time incurred in satisfying any assigned training obligation or function. 34
Travel Time for Training a. Mandatory training is any training that the employee is required to attend. If total time including travel time exceeds the regular hours, 40 hours for field employees or 37.5 hours for office employees, travel time at the overtime rate will be paid for mandatory training.

Travel Time for Training. During the 2003 negotiations for renewal of the Collective Agreements that expired January 31, 2003, it was agreed by the parties that employees would be paid for travel time to attend training sessions on the basis below. In addition, during negotiations for renewal of the Collective Agreements that expired on January 31, 2006 it was agreed to further clarify that this letter applies to job related training and not to other matters such as company meetings and safety meetings / training. For travel to training in Chatham, outside of an employee’s regularly scheduled working hours, employees will be paid as follows: • Thunder Bay to Chatham, and return – up to a maximum of seven
Travel Time for Training. The Employer will maintain a list of regular Training programs and courses for its Employees that may periodically be conducted either at one of the Employer’s sites or at a nearby facility. Such Training will as much as possible be arranged at or near the Employees’ Primary Work Location. Employees whose Primary Work Location is remote from the site of any Training identified in the above list will be provided a travel time allowance in accordance with the table below to recognize a significant additional time required outside of normal working hours, over and above their normal commute time, to attend such Training. Fixed Travel Time Allowance Provision (One Way) For Travel To/From Clock Time Belleville Ajax/Clarington and Environs 1 xx Xxxxx Ajax/Clarington and Environs 0.75 hr Gravenhurst Ajax/Clarington and Environs 1.5 hr Time will be paid at the applicable rate for any portion of this Travel Time Allowance which exceeds the time between an Employee’s normal start time and the Training start time, or for any portion of this Travel Time Allowance which exceeds the time between the Training stop time and an Employee’s normal stop time. For example, a Belleville Employee who normally starts at 08:00 and who must attend Training in Ajax starting at 08:30, will receive an additional 0.5 hr paid time. If the normal stop time is 16:00, and the Training stops at 16:00 (or later), a full 1 hr is allowed. Where appropriate, travel routes and Travel Time Allowances may compound as applicable (such as Belleville to Gravenhurst).
Travel Time for Training. In the event the City requires an employee to attend a training course outside of City boundaries, employees will be paid and reimbursed in accordance with current practice. The City will determine the method of transportation and will make all necessary travel arrangements.
Travel Time for Training. Consistent with the City Employee Personnel Manual, travel time for training is not compensable if all the following four requirements are met: - Attendance is voluntary; - The training program occurs outside normal working hours; - The employee does not perform work; and - The training is not directly related to the employees’ current job.
Travel Time for Training. Travel costs incurred by an employee undertaking training in accordance with this clause which exceeds those normally incurred in travelling to and from work shall be reimbursed by the Company. If the Company asks the employee to spend more time travelling outside their ordinary work hours than usual, the Company will pay the employee for any additional travelling time, up to a maximum of 8 hours per day. Payment for time spent travelling will be at ordinary rates and will not be utilised in the calculation of overtime. Travel time must be approved by the employee’s Business Unit Manager.
Travel Time for Training. For Mandatory Training - If total time including travel time exceeds the scheduled hours in that day, then the travel time will be paid at the overtime rate. Schedules will be adjusted to minimize the overtime. Mandatory Training includes any training that the employee is required to attend. For Optional Training – If the total time including travel exceeds the scheduled hours of work in that day, travel time will not be paid for optional training, it will be on the employees’ own time.
