Provision of an SRO. The City shall assign one (1) regularly employed officer to the Oak Harbor School District. Although generally assigned to the High School, the SRO will provide coverage to the surrounding campus and other schools within the District as appropriate, including SRO coverage of Home Connection School and Hand-in-Hand Early Learning Center at the Clover Valley Campus, as detailed in this document. The services provided by the SRO are in addition to normal police services already provided by the City.
Provision of an SRO. CITY agrees to assign a SRO on a full-time basis to NKSD during the regular school year (does not include the summer school term, winter break, or spring break). Full-time basis shall mean an assignment of eight hours per day during regularly scheduled school hours less any scheduled vacation time, sick time, training time, court time, or any other police-related activity, including any emergencies such as civil disasters. The SRO will not take vacation while school is in session unless approved by CITY. On scheduled workdays when school is not in session, the SRO will work as assigned by CITY Police Department.

Although generally assigned to Skyline High School, the SRO may provide coverage to other schools and areas near Skyline High School and within the City. The services provided by the SRO are in addition to normal police services already provided by the City.
Provision of an SRO. City agrees to assign an SRO to the NKSD during the regular school year (does not include the summer school term, winter break, or spring break). The SRO shall be assigned to the NKSD for 32 hours per week, 8 hours per day. The SRO will work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at the schools during regularly scheduled school hours with Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off. It is understood that the SRO may have scheduled vacation time, sick time, training time, court time, or any other police related activity, including any emergencies such as civil disasters which may preclude the SRO from being at the schools. The SRO will not take vacation while school is in session unless approved by the CITY. In the event that vacation is granted, another Poulsbo Police Officer will fulfill the duties of the SRO, while the SRO is on vacation. On scheduled workdays when school is not in session or the hours outside the normal school day, the SRO will work as assigned by the City Police Department.
